State Archery Championship: KISS youngsters steal the show

Riding on the impressive performances of its youngsters, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar has bagged four out of 11 gold medals so far in the 25th Odisha State Archery Championship, which is underway at Jujomura in Sambalpur from 9 October 2024.

KISS girl Rishma Mallick was cynosure of all eyes, winning two gold medals in Indian Round. Other two gold medals for KISS were claimed by Kaushalya Sing and Rehan Hasdak, who is the son of eminent archery coach Rajesh Hasdak. Out of the 11 gold, Keonjhar secured three, Sambalpur and Cuttack two each, Kalahandi and Sundargarh one each.

Odisha Archery Association is organising the four-day championship with the support of the State Sports & Youth Services Department and Sambalpur District Archery Association.
