Rising star Aahan added a glorious chapter to the tennis history of Odisha as she bagged a double crown at the 29th Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship in New Delhi today besides reaching the No 1 spot in All India U-14 girls rankings.
Bhubaneswar girl Aahan clinched the Fenesta Open double crown, by winning both the girls U-14 and U-16 singles titles within five hours at the DLTA Complex, New Delhi. She beat Aishwarya Jadhav of Maharashtra 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 in the hard-fought U-16 final that lasted more than three hours.
The U-16 title triumph assumed added significance as Aahan achieved the feat as a qualifier. She won three three matches at the qualifying stage and five in the main draw before becoming the champion.
