Riding on a century by opening batter Om T Munde and a four-wicket haul by allrounder Saideep Mohapatra, Odisha registered a 197-run win over minnows Arunachal Pradesh in their opening Group-D match of the Mens U-23 State A Trophy Cricket Tournament at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, Chhattisgarh today.
Put into bat, Odisha compiled a massive total of 318 for eight in 50 overs with Munde hitting 133-ball 123 with the help of 14 boundaries. In reply, Arunachal Pradesh folded up for 121 in 44.4 overs. Saideep was the most successful Odisha bowler, bagging four wickets for 13 runs. Odisha will next meet Jammu & Kashmir at RDCA Ground in Raipur tomorrow.
