Cuttack-A will face giant killers Sundargarh in the final of the OCA Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament for Kalahandi Cup at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 9 April 2025. In the semifinals today, Cuttack-A defeated Rourkela by four wickets, while Sundargarh stunned East Coast Railway by 41 runs.
Prince Behera and Bikram Samal played important roles in the Cuttack-A win, hitting a half-century each. But Cuttack-A bowler Biswajit Mohapatra was adjudged as the player of the match for picking up two crucial wickets, conceding 34 runs.
Allrounder Walter Toppo was the main architect of the Sundargarh win, scoring 25 runs and bagging three wickets for 24 runs. A four-wicket haul by Lagnajit Samal and a half-century by Ankit Yadav went in vain as East Coast Railway folded up for 161, while chasing a victory target of 203.
