Dream run continued for Odisha girl Vishakha Toppo as she and her Indian partner Bhabya Chhabra barged into the mixed doubles quarterfinals of the ongoing Yonex-Sunrise BWF World Junior Badminton Championship at the National Centre of Excellence in Guwahati, Assam today.
Seeded 14th, Vishakha and Bhabya, who is from Delhi, caused a major upset by eliminating fourth seeded French pair of Thibault Gardon and Agathe Cuevas in their hard-fought pre-quarterfinal clash 15-12, 11-15, 15-12. The Indian duo will meet Chinese Taipei pair of Hung Bing Fu and Chou Yun An for a berth in the semifinals tomorrow.
